Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
In Monroe, an estimated 1 out of 15 households don’t have access to a vehicle—2.2K residents. For the 13.9% of the city living below the poverty line, the cost of car ownership can be out of reach. Neighborhoods with the lowest access to vehicles also have the highest unemployment, creating a cycle that limits economic mobility. Meanwhile, manufacturing employers with ready-to-fill jobs are located just five miles from downtown, yet remain inaccessible to many.
It’s time for Monroe to start a serious conversation about local transit. We’re calling for the formal creation of a city-led transit committee to begin exploring small-scale pilot programs and creative solutions tailored to Monroe’s needs.
Let’s close the five-mile opportunity gap—and ensure that more residents can get where they need to go, whether it’s work, school, or a doctor’s appointment.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
